Apart from choosing foods that contain nutrients and are good for the body, there are several ways you can make your lunch healthier.

Healthy Lunches For Work

1. Adequate intake of nutrients

All of these nutrients are obtained, of course, from food and drink. Your body needs various nutrients every day, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

Later, the body will use these nutrients for many things, such as breathing, digesting food to boost the immune system.

2. Know the number of calories needed

Ideally, the calorie needs that need to be met in one portion of lunch are 30 percent of the number of calories needed in a day. Take for example, your daily calorie needs after being calculated is 2000 calories.

Therefore, the recommended lunch portion is 600 calories. So, from that number, it is then divided into portions per food ingredient, from carbohydrates, proteins, fats, to vitamins and minerals.

3. Make sure portions and nutrition are balanced

A healthy lunch menu must contain staple foods as a source of carbohydrates, side dishes as a source of protein and fat, and fruits and vegetables as a source of vitamins and minerals.
